FAQ

Where does my data go?

After your data has been encrypted and compressed at your location it will be transmitted to a secure commercial data center in Birmingham, Alabama.  Not offshore. We have two mirrored data centers, one in Birmingham, Al and the other in Huntsville, Al. They are equipped with redundant high speed connections to different cities throughout the nation and world. This means you can access your data from nearly anywhere in the world.  The data centers are protected against the unlikely occurrence of complete power failure with backup batteries and natural gas generators, which are activated within 10 seconds of a power failure to the grid.

How do I recover my data after a disaster?

Our software has a built-in Disaster Recovery feature. Here's how it works. After initial installation, our Client software asks if you want to make a Key Disk. The Key Disk contains all the setup information for the Client software. If you change something critical about the setup of the Client software later, it will ask you to update your Key Disk. If the computer is destroyed and has to be completely reconfigured, you can simply install new Client software.

Do I have the ability to manage what gets backed up?

Absolutely!  You can easily adjust the your backup content at anytime by using our friendly client software.  The intuitive interface allows you to see easily navigate and select only the files or systems you want.

Do you offer support for disaster recovery?

Indeed!  In fact, this is what sets us apart from our competition.  We offer free phone and email support and will also send a team of DR pros to your location if the need arises.  In the event you need us onsite for help, our DR team will quickly assess the situation and give you an up front estimate for the fees involved for getting you up and running smoothly again.

How long does it take to get my company set up?

Set-up is as easy as 1,2,3!  We will send you our custom backup agent, you will install it and we'll walk you through the process of configuring your backup.  If you're local to the Birmingham area, we'll even make a visit to handle this for you.
